Pixxel Unveils First Images from its First Light Campaign

Pixxel, India’s space data startup, has unveiled the first-ever set of images from its hyperspectral pathfinder satellites as part of its ‘First Light’ Campaign. The images capture intricate details of the land and water features of regions such as Krishna River Delta (India), Palm Islands (Dubai), Super pit (Australia), Saloum River Delta (Senegal), Granny Smith Gold mine (Australia) and Brockman (Australia).

UKSA to Fund Companies to Provide Services for Moon Missions

The UK Space Agency has announced over £50 million for UK companies to develop communication and navigation services for missions to the Moon. The new funding is part of the European Space Agency’s Moonlight program, which aims to launch a constellation of satellites into orbit around the Moon from 2028. As a result, future astronauts, rovers, science experiments and other equipment will be able to communicate, share large amounts of data, including high-definition video, and navigate safely across the lunar surface.

ispace Releases Interim Success Report for HAKUTO-R Mission 1

ispace, inc., a global lunar exploration company, has released an interim success report and announced that its HAKUTO-R Mission 1 lunar lander has entered the second phase of its mission, having traveled to its farthest point from Earth into deep space. The lander is now on a trajectory to the Moon with a scheduled landing for the end of April 2023
