Exploration Company and Axiom Space sign Cargo Services Deal

The Exploration Company, a European commercial space company that is developing, manufacturing, and operating a reusable space capsule called 'Nyx,' and Axiom Space, architect of Axiom Station, the first commercial space station, announced that they have signed a cargo service pre-booking agreement. In addition, the agreement is the first time a European space capsule has been chosen by a commercial space company to develop cargo transportation services from Earth to Space and back to Earth.

Terran Orbital Opens New Factory Addition in Irvine

Terran Orbital, a manufacturer of satellite products primarily serving the aerospace and defense industries, have announced the official opening of a new 60,000-square-foot satellite manufacturing space, adding to its existing manufacturing capability. With this previously announced addition, the total size of the manufacturing complex in Irvine has expanded to approximately 98,000 square feet. Furthermore, this new addition enables the company to significantly boost satellite production, increasing it from an estimated ten satellites per month to more than 20 per month.

Open Cosmos Raises $50M From Leading Impact Investors

Open Cosmos, a space tech business making satellites that gather data to solve pressing global challenges, raised $50 million in Series B funding from three leading impact investors, ETF Partners, Trill Impact, and A&G. The round also included Accenture Ventures, Banco Santander InnoEnergy Climate Tech Fund and Claret Capital Partners, with participation from Taavet Hinrikus and Kheng Nam Lee. The funding will help to accelerate the company’s growth internationally and expand its offering to encompass sophisticated satellites and constellations as well as satellite-based analytics and insight solutions.

GHGSat Completes Funding to Accelerate Commercialization

GHGSat has completed its Series C1 funding round for a total of US$44 million in equity and debt, which consequently puts the Company's total raised funds to more than US$126 million since its inception in 2011.
