About our guest: Ashok G.V., is a partner with Factum Law and Allied Law Practices and practices before the High Court of Karnataka at Bengaluru. In addition to his role as a dispute resolution attorney, he heads the firm’s space law practice. As part of his work with the space industry, he advises clients on contracts, intellectual property management and enforcement, technology transfer, export control, and risk management. He has also been invited by governments to provide strategic advice on policy for the commercial space industry and to formulate inter-governmental agreements for leveraging space to address welfare objectives on the ground. He has been invited by think tanks, militaries, law schools, and publications in India and abroad to deliver talks and publish literature on satellite communication regulations, the legal implications and ramifications of military activities in space, geopolitical trends and their impact on space law, mining of outer space and liability from space activities.
