The Isle of Man sees these principles as an example of international best practice and their participation is in line with the Island’s wish to comply with global standards.

It is a proactive measure, reinforcing the growing space economy on the Island, the government of the British Crown Dependency said.

The NASA-led Artemis programme, grounded in the Outer Space Treaty of 1967, aims to create a peaceful and transparent environment for scientific and commercial activities between nations in space.

The programme “will benefit relevant Island businesses by ensuring that they are able to participate fully” in its activities, said Chief Minister Howard Quayle MHK.
